Visa information for entering Turkey

Citizens of USA, Australia, Canada and South Africa are required to have a visa to enter Turkey. As these visa requirements can change depending on many factors, we strongly recommend checking the link below to see which countries are exempt from needing a visa to enter Turkey, and if they are not exempt, how much a visa would be.

The good news is that the process is very straightforward and can be all done online prior to departure!
To arrange your Turkish e-visa online simply go to and follow the steps.

The fees for the visa can vary but as a rough guide the visa is currently around USD$50-60 for Australian, US and Canadian passport holders. South African passport holders currently need an e-visa but there is no fee for the online application.

Important: Passport holders from New Zealand, UK, Ireland and most European and South American countries currently do not require a visa for a stay not exceeding 3 months.

Please ensure that your passport is valid for at least 6 months from your date of arrival to Turkey.
Please note that visa regulations in any country are subject to change.
Even though we will endeavour to keep the visa information on this page up to date, obtaining the entry visa and checking up on any amendments to regulations remains the responsibility of the traveller and not that of Go Sail Turkey.
