Visas for Turkey

Visa information for entering Turkey

standard gulet

Citizens of USA, Australia, Canada and South Africa are required to have a visa to enter Turkey. Likewise, citizens of the United Kingdom, Ireland and many other European countries (please check links below to see which European countries are exempt from needing a visa to enter Turkey).

The good news is that the process is very straightforward and can be all done online prior to departure!
To arrange your Turkish e-visa online simply go to www.evisa.gov.tr/en/apply/ and follow the steps.

The fees for the visa can vary but as a rough guide the visa is currently around USD$60 for Australian and Canadian passport holders and USD$20 for British, USA and Irish passport holders. South African passport holders currently need an e-visa but there is no fee for this.

Important: New Zealand passport holders currently do not require a visa for a stay not exceeding 3 months.

Please ensure that your passport is valid for at least 6 months from your date of arrival to Turkey.
Please note that visa regulations in any country are subject to change.
Even though we will endeavour to keep the visa information on this page up to date, obtaining the entry visa and checking up on any amendments to regulations remains the responsibility of the traveller and not that of Go Sail Turkey.
