GENERAL FAQs

The most frequent questions we get about our cruises and answers that work!

As the name suggests, the 18-39s cruise is aimed at travellers in that age bracket. The 18-39s cruises are not “party cruises” as they attract travellers looking for a more balanced trip with lots of swim-stops, sightseeing and exploring during the day, with fun and socialising in the evenings and the party in some coastal bars on at least one night during the cruise.

The mixed-age cruises can have travellers on board aged between 6 and 69 and tends to attract families, slightly older travellers over 39, young professionals, couples and solos of all ages.

Yes, you can pay a single supplement. Our single supplement is 50% extra in April, May, June, October, and 100% extra in July, August, September.
You need to book your single cabin in advance.

Full-board is included, which means breakfast, lunch and dinner. Plus the bonus of afternoon tea/coffee!
All our meals are served buffet style.
Please see our detailed description of our meals here: WHAT KIND OF FOOD IS SERVED ON MY BOAT?

Please tell us about your special dietary requirements (we have catered for vegetarians, vegans, lactose-intolerance, gluten-free, allergies, kosher and many other dietary needs) before your cruise starts and our onboard cook will do their best to cater for them.
Meals on board are also served buffet style so you can pick and choose what suits your diet most.

You can only bring your own snacks onboard such as peanuts, crisps, biscuits etc. But you cannot bring your own drinks onboard, including water (as this is included).

Our gulets do not have card facilities onboard. All payments for your bar tab can be made only by cash locally on your last day before you check out of the boat.

We strongly recommend taking out travel insurance before you go.

The boats have at least one power socket in each of the cabins and there are also some in the salon area. You can use the power sockets when the engine or generator is on.

No, you will not be provided with towels. You should definitely bring your own bath and beach towels.

In a word, no. There are numerous reasons why:

(1) When we experimented with wi-fi routers onboard the boat, we found that it caused more issues than it solved as we had several complaints per cruise regarding poor reception, bandwidth, dropout etc. Unfortunately, this was out of our hands as the boats often dock in secluded bays and cruise through areas with poor reception.

(2) Due to the above issues with shared routers, we noticed that guests had better reception individually when they used their own roaming or purchased Turkish SIMs. So this is a good solution and stops us being blamed when reception is poor!

(3) We also get hundreds of comments per year saying that guests loved the experience of having a “digital de-tox” and simply getting back to more of an organic trip experience. However, we understand that some people may not want that de-tox, or may need to be online frequently for work reasons. Therefore, we find the individual choice to go on roaming or use a Turkish SIM works perfectly!

4-DAY WEST TO EAST FAQs

The most frequent questions we get about our 4-DAY WEST TO EAST cruises!
The boat will be docked, ready for you to jump onboard at the ECE MARINA (and ferry terminal) in Fethiye. Google map location here: https://goo.gl/maps/iLQKNBXneTVX77LR9

Check-in is at 9am and aim for the boat to then depart around 10.30am.

Disembarkation is around 10.30am.

Two reasons: (1) there is no dock in Olympos and (2) it would take too long to cruise to Olympos and back again to make a Fethiye Return in one week feasible.

However, as Olympos is so popular (due to the treehouses, beaches and ruins) for before and after our cruises, we include a FREE mini-bus transfer to Demre and Olympos after the boat docks in Ucagiz.

We would recommend doing both!
Olympos is a really “rustic” experience, with treehouses, lots of different bars, a great beach and fantastic atmosphere in the busy months.
Antalya is a large coastal city with a beautiful old town area, great shopping and excellent restaurants and bars.
You can choose from 2 different drop-offs on the free transfer after the West to East cruise: either Demre Bus Station for regular buses to Antalya (every 30mins approx, takes around 3 hrs), or to Olympos to the treehouse of your choice (takes around 90mins, with a short stop in Demre).

Yes! There are several Treehouse complexes and resorts in Olympos and we recommend BAYRAMS TREEHOUSES. You can book your spaces via BOOKING.COM here: Booking.com

We offer FREE mini-bus transfers from either OLYMPOS or DEMRE bus station to your boat, which will be waiting in Ucagiz harbour (near Demre).
Pick-up from Olympos is from BAYRAMS TREEHOUSES.

Pick up from Demre Bus Station is for people travelling down from Antalya (or other cities).

The meeting point in Olympos is BAYRAMS TREEHOUSES (from the reception/bar area). We will collect you from there at 9.45am.

No, as Cirali is too far away from Olympos for convenient pick-ups. If you are staying in Cirali, please take a taxi (around 5-10 Euros) from there at about 9.15am, to get you to Bayrams Treehouses before 9.45am to meet our Olympos-Demre-Ucagiz transfer.

If you need to be picked up from Demre Bus Station instead of Olympos then collection is at 12pm (noon). You then have about 45 mins in Demre town to purchase any last-minute items you may need (towels, snorkels, sun-cream etc).

Transfer from Demre to Ucagiz harbour (where your boat is waiting) gets you to Ucagiz around 1pm and the boat sets off around 1.30pm to 2pm.

The arrival time into Fethiye can vary but is always after lunch, usually around 1.30pm to 2pm.
