Itinerary
Bodrum to Datça
We meet our Go Sail Turkey representative around noon near the Bodrum to Datça ferry port, and say hello to our other shipmates, before we then take the ferry over to Datça.
After a short mini-bus transfer from Datça ferry port to Datça town, we tuck into lunch and have a chance for a swim near Datça harbour.
There are lots of options for the evening: we can take taxis for the 8 km trip from the harbour to Datça old town (Eski Datça), where there is an old village to explore. Or we can stay in the newer Datça harbour area to try a few bars and find a good restaurant for the evening meal (not included).
Check-in: Your journey begins in Bodrum, where you meet your Onboard Rep at the cafe Ottoman Nargile Atölyesi. From here, we board the Datça ferry together (ticket included: ferry crossing takes approximately 1 hr and 45 mins and transfer from Kairos to your boat in Datça port takes 20 mins).
Depending on when you are sailing, check-in times at the cafe are:
- 8 am in June (for the 9 am ferry, arrival in Datça at 10.45 am),
- or 11 am in Jul/Aug/Sept (for the 12 pm ferry, arrival in Datça at 1.45 pm).
Meals: lunch
Overnight: Datça
Datça to Bozukkale
After a day in Datça town, today is all about contrasting that with cruising and swimming in the amazing bays in Bozukkale. Snorkelling or taking a SUP, marvelling at the colour of the crystal sea – today is all about life in the water! Then we have a magical group dinner together as the sun goes down.
Meals: breakfast, lunch, and dinner
Overnight: Bozukkale
Bozukkale to Church Bay
More swim-stops today in some stunning locations between Bozukkale and Gebe Kilise Koyu (also known as Church Bay) in the morning. We then move to other nearby picturesque bays after lunch.
Meals: breakfast, lunch, and dinner
Overnight: near Church Bay or another nearby bay
Church Bay to Marmaris
After breakfast, we head to Church Bay (near Kadirga) for swim-stops and lunch, and then Marmaris, one of the biggest harbours in Turkey. We anchor down at the harbourside in the afternoon (usually arriving around 3 pm), and it’s time to check out and say goodbye to your crew and shipmates!
You have plenty of options for this last day – you can head to Dalaman airport if you have a flight to Istanbul or international destination, or stay a night or two in Marmaris, which is highly recommended as the old town is littered with historical houses that line its cobbled streets and has some great seaside markets, waterside cafes, bars and nightclubs (Marmaris nightlife is legendary!) to sample as well.
Meals: breakfast and lunch
Check-out: between 2 pm and 2.30 pm at Fener in Marmaris Harbour.

FAQs
What time does my sail start/finish?
4-day Bodrum to Marmaris
START (check-in): 8 am for June departures, 11 am for Jul/Aug/Sept departures
FINISH (check-out): 2-2.30 pm
Where do I find my boat?
Instructions on how to find your boat are in your pre-departure guide. We email this to you 3-4 weeks prior to departure.
Where should I stay before or after my Go Sail Turkey cruise?
Bodrum
Either stay around the Old Town near Bodrum Castle or along the central harbour promenade. Both areas offer fantastic local dining and keep you just a short walking distance or taxi ride to Bodrum Harbour, near where your Rep will be waiting for you.
Marmaris
Anywhere around the Old Town or along Marmaris Harbour is ideal for pre- or post-cruise accommodation. Staying near the waterfront keeps you within easy reach of your check-in/check out.
How do I get from the airport to my boat?
Bodrum
If you are arriving at Milas-Bodrum Airport (BJV), the most direct way to get from the airport to the port is by taxi or pre-booked private transfer. The journey takes between 40 minutes and 1 hour, depending on traffic.
Alternatively, you can take an airport shuttle bus (Muttaş or Havaş) directly from the airport to Bodrum’s main bus terminal (Bodrum Otogar).
The bus ride takes approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour. From Bodrum Otogar, the harbour is a quick taxi ride or a short walk away, bringing the total travel time to around 1 hour.
How do I get to Bodrum?
Air. Rail. Bus. Ferry.
Your options are limitless (not really, but you know what we mean). Check your options here.
What happens if I miss, or am going to be late for the boat's departure?
It all depends on just how late you are! If you miss check-in, it shouldn’t be too hard to catch up. But if you’re a day late, you’ll need to discuss options with our Operations team.
4-day Bodrum to Marmaris departures
If your travel is delayed and you miss your check-in and our harbour departure time, you will need to arrange a water taxi or land transfer (at your own expense) to join the boat at our overnight bay anchorage or next morning stop.
Top tip: aim to arrive in Turkey at least one day before your sail to avoid missing check-in.
