20-39 CRUISES
4-DAY CRUISE
BODRUM TO MARMARIS
Departs: Saturday
This one-way route is COMPLETELY UNIQUE to Go Sail Turkey and is for travellers who want to do the ultimate 4-day/3-night Turkey cruise!
Our gulets are traditionally-built, wooden Turkish motor-yachts which hold around 16 to 20 passengers. They are the ONLY way to see the Turkish coast.
- Highlights include Knidos, Datca, Bozukkale and the lively cities of Marmaris and Bodrum.
- Imagine waking every morning for breakfast and a swim in idyllic bays before cruising along the coast to a new destination each day.
- The boat decks are perfect for sunbathing and jumping into the sea.
- The Turkish food on board is excellent, with 3 breakfasts, 4 lunches and 2 dinners included!
- The perfect balance between relaxing, sightseeing and socialising. There is an onboard bar and opportunities to experience the nightlife at venues in Datca, Marmaris and Bodrum (Bodrum – before the cruise).
DAY ONE
Bodrum to Datca to Palamatbuku
Lunch and dinner included today.
We meet our Go Sail Turkey representative at 11.00am near the Bodrum to Datca ferry port (location: https://maps.app.goo.gl/aHhhtKKvRPfat7Y76), say hello to our other shipmates, and then take the 12pm ferry over to Datca (ferry included, takes around 55 min).
After a short mini-bus transfer from Datca ferry port to Datca town, we arrive at our boat around 1.30pm, ready for welcome speeches and an introduction to Captain and crew. We tuck straight into lunch and depart Datca harbour straight away (don’t worry, we’ll be back to explore!), heading for Palamatbuku, a lovely bay and beach area for a long swim-stop. We have dinner on the boat and anchor down for the night.
Overnight – Palamatbuku
DAY THREE
Datca to Bozukkale
Breakfast, lunch and dinner included today.
Today is all about the swimming in the amazing bays between Datca and Bozukkale. As we approach Bozukkale, there is the opportunity to climb up the peninsula’s ancient citadel for some impressive views.
Overnight – Bozukkale
DAY TWO
Palamatbuku to Knidos to Datca
Breakfast and lunch included today.
This morning after breakfast we cruise onto Knidos. Even though it is still under excavation, this ancient city has some impressive ruins to visit and the short climb up to the top of the hill to see the city’s two ancient, back-to-back harbours from above is well worth it!
We head back over to Datca afterwards, having lunch on the way and dock into, or near, the harbour. There are lots of options for the late afternoon and evening: we can take taxis for the 8km trip from the harbour to Datca old town (Eski Datca) if desired, where there is a old village to explore. We have time to wander around the town, pick up some bargains and sample the cafes. Or you can stay in the Datca harbour area to try a few bars and find a good restaurant for the evening meal.
Overnight – Datca
DAY FOUR
Bozukkale to Marmaris
Breakfast and lunch included today.
After breakfast we head to Kadirga for swim-stops and lunch, and then arrive in Marmaris, one of the biggest harbours in Turkey. We dock at the harbourside in the afternoon and it’s time to check out and say goodbye to your crew and shipmates!
You have plenty of options for this last day – you can head to Dalaman airport if you have a flight to Istanbul or international destination, or stay a night or two in Marmaris (recommended!).
