20-39 CRUISES
7-DAY CRUISE
FETHIYE RETURN
Departs: Saturday
Our gulet boats are traditionally-built, wooden Turkish motor-yachts which usually hold around 16 to 20 passengers.
These cruises are easily the best way to see the Turkish coast:
- Imagine waking every morning for breakfast and a swim in idyllic bays before cruising along the coast to new destinations such as Butterfly Valley, Oludeniz beach, Kas, Kalkan, Kekova, the Sunken City, St Nicholas Island and more!
- The boat decks are perfect for sunbathing and jumping into the crystal-clear sea.
- The Turkish food onboard is excellent – breakfast, lunch and dinner included!
- The perfect balance between relaxing, sightseeing and socialising. There is an onboard bar and opportunities to enjoy evenings on the boat with your shipmates and go to cafes, bars and venues in places like Kas.
DAY ONE
Fethiye to St Nicholas Island
We board our gulet around 10am for welcome speeches and an introduction to Captain and crew, depart Fethiye harbour around 11am and cruise to Butterfly Valley for swimming, lunch and an optional hike up to the waterfall. Butterfly Valley is famous for being the home of over 130 different types of butterflies but they only appear in large numbers at certain times of the year so let’s hope we get lucky!
Afterwards, we head over to Oludinez, Europe’s most photographed beach and one of the best sites in the world to paraglide. In the evening, we anchor at St. Nicholas Island in time for a short hike up through the island’s ruins to witness the amazing sunset.
Important: As the check-in is in the morning, most of our guests stay the night in Fethiye before the cruise. If you need accommodation in Fethiye for a night or 2 before your sail then you can book a hotel or guesthouse on BOOKING.COM
DAY TWO
St Nicholas Island to Kas
Today we are off to Kalkan (Aquarium Bay) for breakfast in a breathtaking spot for swimming and snorkelling in crystal-clear water. We then cruise to Kas, a fishing village with a charming little harbour where we enjoy lunch on the boat before disembarking to explore the local boutique shops, which specialise in handmade jewellery and clothes. We either spend the night in Kas Town to enjoy the nightlife or in one of the secluded bays between Kas and Kekova (with option of boat transfer to have evening in Kas).
Optional excursion: Scuba-diving
DAY THREE
Kas to Gokkaya Bay
Today we sail past the sunken city. Once part of the original settlement that still makes up the island of Kekova, a devastating earthquake many centuries ago made this part of the town collapse into the sea. We will sail past for a closer look before anchoring on the opposite side to visit Kekova. Here you can wander the island, hike to the Lycian tombs, climb to the hilltop and enter Simena Fortress for some panoramic views over the coastline you have just cruised.
Overnight in Gokkaya Bay or another nearby bay.
DAY FOUR
Gokkaya Bay to Demre
Today we enjoy a lazy start, easing into the morning. After breakfast we spend some time in Pirates Cave (or another nearby bay) for snorkelling and swimming.
We dock at Ucagiz Harbour around 10:30-11:00am for farewells to any 4-day West to East travellers and new East to West guests come aboard around 12.30pm. During this time we will be docked in the village of Ucagiz where you can visit the market, explore and check out a cafe or two. In the afternoon we cruise to a cove for swimming, snorkelling and lunch.
We then return to Gokkaya Bay or another nearby picturesque bay.
DAY FIVE
Gokkaya Bay to Kas to Kalkan or Aquarium Bay
After breakfast in a nearby bay and a morning swim, we cruise back to Kas for the chance to explore the town further (don’t miss the amphitheatre!) or to do the Scuba-diving excursion in the crystal-clear Turkish water.
We finish the day in Aquarium Bay with swimming, snorkelling and dinner before spending the night here sleeping under the stars on deck, or we will overnight in Kalkan town for you to enjoy the nightlife, bars and explore the winding, cobbled streets.
DAY SIX
Aquarium Bay to Butterfly Valley to St. Nicholas Island
We head north in the morning and wake up to the sight of Butterfly Valley. After breakfast we stay here for swimming and then head over to Oludinez for the chance to paraglide in one of the world’s best locations for this sport!
In the evening, we anchor at St. Nicholas Island.
DAY SEVEN
St. Nicholas Island to Fethiye
On our last day we enjoy breakfast at St.Nicholas Island and then cruise over to Tarzan Bay or Samanlik Bay for a swim and lunch. We finally dock in Fethiye in the afternoon with plenty of time for last-minute pics and farewells to your onboard family.
If you need accommodation in Fethiye for a night or 2 after your sail then you can book a hotel or guesthouse on BOOKING.COM
